10th Annual Warragul Nissan Baw Baw Classic Cycle 11 April 2010

The 10th annual 100 km cycling race from Warragul to the pinnacle of Mt Baw Baw will be held on Sunday 11th April 2010.

Now in its 10th year, this race is Australia’s only “hors categorie” climb, and has become known as Victoria’s toughest one day race. The final six kilometre ascent to the summit of Mt Baw Baw is reputedly the steepest paved road in the Southern hemisphere. Incorporating the Victorian Mountain Climb State Championships, the Warragul Nissan Baw Baw Classic attracts a quality field of entrants.

As part of the 10 year anniversary celebrations, events will begin on Saturday 10th April with the Baw Baw Challenge, a recreational ride through the beautiful scenery of the Baw Baw area. Cyclists from all over Australia will leave at 10.am from the West Gippsland Arts Centre, Civic Place, Warragul.
